This app provides a convenient way to measure distances on a map, making it useful for various purposes such as route planning and finding the shortest distance. The accuracy of distance calculations is based on the curvature of the earth.

The tracking mode feature allows users to measure distances hands-free. The app automatically follows the current location of the device to continue measuring the distance.

Editing paths is made easy by simply holding down points on the map. Alternatively, users can modify values using the in-app editor.

Additional features include the ability to share information on Twitter, Facebook, and via email, as well as an editor for coordinates lists and the option to export coordinates to a GPX file.

The Apple Watch version of this app allows users to track the total distance covered by their watch's location.

"DistanceCalculator - Map tool" offers a completely free version with all features available. However, users have the option to subscribe and remove ads.

Device subscriptions are available in different plans that automatically renew monthly, every six months, or annually, unless canceled. The prices quoted are for the United States store, and pricing may vary in other stores.

Your iTunes Account will be charged for subscriptions upon confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions will be renewed automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage your subscriptions in your iTunes Account Settings or by clicking "Purchase / Manage Subscription". It is important to note that canceling a subscription is not possible during the active subscription period.
